Has God’s plan of salvation ever been explained to you one-on-one? Today I’m going to teach you God’s plan of salvation. God has always loved you with an unconditional, everlasting love, and desires to have a personal relationship with you.

The Bible in Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 says, “in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth”. He formed man out of the dust of the ground, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. God performed the first surgery. He put Adam, the first man, to sleep, took out one of his ribs, and formed Eve, the first woman, to be his wife. They were both naked but were not ashamed of their nakedness. God assigned Adam to take care of the Garden of Eden. He instructed him to eat fruit from every tree in the garden except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because eating its fruit would cause him to die immediately.

The devil used the serpent to trick Eve. The serpent said to Eve “has God said you shall not eat of every tree of the garden”? Eve replied, “We may eat the fruit of every tree in the garden except of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If we eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we will die”. The serpent said to her “you will not die if you eat it; God knows that if you eat it your eyes will be opened, you will be as gods, knowing good and evil”.

Because of the serpent’s lies and deception, Eve doubted what God had said. She looked at the tree of knowledge of good and evil and saw that it was good for food and pleasant to look at and desired it because it would make her wise. She took fruit off the tree, ate it, gave it to her husband Adam, and he ate it also. Their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked so they sewed fig leaves together and made aprons to cover their nakedness.

Adam and Eve heard God’s voice as He walked in the garden and they hid themselves from the presence of the Lord. God called Adam and said “Where are you”? Adam’s response was that he heard God’s voice but was afraid because he was naked so he hid himself. God asked him who told you that you are naked; did you eat fruit from the tree I commanded you not to eat? Adam replied, “that woman you gave me, she gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” God asked the woman what she did and she replied “the serpent tricked me.”

As a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, God judged the trio in this story. The serpent’s punishment was to crawl on his belly in the dust and for his seed to war with the woman’s seed. The woman’s punishment was being desirous of her husband who would rule over her and she would experience painful childbirth. Adam’s punishment was to work by the sweat of his brow from a cursed ground. Adam and Eve were also kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

The bible in Romans chapter 3 verse 23 says, “we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.” As a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, sin entered the world. Every person is a descendant of Adam and Eve so every person is born spiritually dead, separated from God with a sin nature so it’s natural for mankind to sin. Because all people are born with a sin nature, all need to be saved from their sins or born again.

Jesus said in John chapter 3 verse 3, “…unless a man is is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The new birth allows us to enter the Kingdom of God.

The Bible in Romans chapter 6 verse 23, says “the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life”. Sin earns us spiritual death, which is separation from God. But the good news is that God gave us the gift of salvation.

The Bible in John chapter 3 verse 16 states, “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Because God loved and missed fellowshipping with mankind, He sent Jesus, His Son to be born of a virgin to provide salvation for all those in the entire world who believe on Him.

The Bible in Romans chapter 5 verse 8 says, “but God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. You may be saying to yourself, “I’m a major sinner; “you don’t know what I have done in my life; I have done some terrible things.” You may be a robber, a liar, an embezzler, an ex-con, a drug addict, an alcoholic, a rapist, a prostitute, a child abuser, or a murder. God wants you to know that He knows everything about you and He loves you anyway. God’s love for you is without conditions. You do not have to qualify for God’s love. He loves you because you are His creation. God is not like people. People will love you if you do this or that or if you don’t do this or that. God sent Jesus to save you from your sins.

The Bible in Romans chapter 8 verse 38 says, “…neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” God promises to never stop loving you. He loves you with an everlasting love. Nothing that you have done or will do will ever make God stop loving you.

The Bible in Ephesians chapter 2 verses 8-9 says, “For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast.” Grace is getting what we do not deserve. We deserved to die but Jesus who is sinless took our place on the cross of Calvary. Because of God’s grace, we can receive God’s gift of salvation.

In John chapter 14 verse 6 Jesus says, “…I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the father, but by me.” Jesus is the only way to the Father in heaven and to the kingdom of God; His word is true and He is the only source of eternal life.

Salvation is a gift. You do not have to work or pay for a gift. Jesus did all the work when He hung, bleed, suffered, and died on the cross. Jesus paid for our salvation with His precious blood. All you have to do is receive God’s gift of salvation by faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. If I had a birthday gift for you, you could either receive or refuse to accept my birthday gift. The same is true of salvation. You can either receive God’s gift of salvation or you can refuse to accept God’s gift of salvation.

The bible in Romans chapter 10 verse 9 says, “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Salvation is as easy as ABC. A Admit that you were born a sinner, B – Believe that Jesus is God’s Son who died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and CConfess Jesus as Saviour and Lord of your life.

The bible in Revelation chapter 3 verse 20 says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and will sup with him and he will be with me”. God is knocking at the door of your heart. Listen, do you hear it? He wants to come into your heart to be your Saviour and Lord.

It’s decision time! I want you to answer some questions:

  1. Are you a sinner? Yes or No
  2. Do you want forgiveness for all your sins? Yes or no
  3. Do you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead? Yes or No
  4. Are you willing and ready to surrender your life to Jesus? Yes or no!

If you answered “yes” to ALL these questions and desire to be saved from your sins, please repeat the sinner’s prayer after me:

Dear God,

I Admit that I was born a sinner in need of your grace, mercy, and forgiveness. I Believe Jesus, your Son, died on the cross in my place for my sins, was buried, and rose from the grave, conquering death in order for me to live eternally. I am sorry for my sins against you. Please forgive and wash away my sins with the precious blood Jesus shed for me.  I Confess Jesus as my Saviour and Lord and invite Him to take control of my life. God please help me to know and obey you. Thank you, Lord, for saving me, giving me new life in you, and filling me with your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen!

If you prayed sincerely from your heart, God immediately performed spiritual surgery and took out your hard heart and replaced it with a soft heart of flesh. You are now born again! You are a Christian now! Welcome into the kingdom of God. Along with the angels in heaven, we am rejoicing because you have accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord! Go, run, and tell someone you just got saved! I pray God will lead you to the bible-believing and bible-teaching church of His choice! You have now begun the exciting journey for which God created you!
